Take Your Child to the Library Day
On Saturday, Feb. 7, we are joining our counterparts across the country with a slate of fun programming to encourage families with children to visit the library. Get creative at our Valentine's Day-themed Creation Station all day long, or visit with Curious George from 2-4 p.m. Also scheduled is a Time Out For Tales storytime at 11 a.m., followed by a performance from some of the cast members of the Cue Theatre's "HONK!" This program is co-sponsored by Friends of Bethlehem Public Library - Kids and Friends.

Positive audit findings
In November, the Office of the State Comptroller released the results of an audit of the Bethlehem Public Library that found that over-the-counter cash receipts were properly accounted for and deposited intact and in a timely manner, and the system of controls was properly designed and implemented. A link to the full report can be found here: www.osc.state.ny.us/localgov/audits/libraries/2014/bethlehem.htm

Braille Library Cards
Our IT department can produce custom-printed Braille cards using the library's 3D printer. They are made of biodegradable plastic and measure 1.5" x 4". A Braille card is available to anyone eligible for a Bethlehem Public Library card. It provides access to the entire collection, including large-print books, audiobooks, ereaders and ebooks. Bring a photo I.D. and proof of current residence to the circulation desk; we can issue your card within a few days. If you already have a Bethlehem Public Library card, we can print a Braille version using your current library card number. Call 439-9314 for more information.
