Museum pass program

Visit a museum virtually through our list of online resources for kids and families. 


Passes to several area museums are available for loan.

  • Passes may be borrowed for three days.
  • Passes are first-come, first-served; there are no requests or renewals.
  • Return passes only at Bethlehem Public Library.

Check museum websites for hours and current exhibit information. Some museums may require you to show your library card with your pass when you arrive.

Albany Institute of History & Art *

Arkell Museum at Canajoharie *

Family pass, admits all patrons residing in the same household. Children under 11 years of age are always free.

Berkshire Museum *

Open Year Round
Pass admits two people. Children 12 and under are free. Advance registration required, call for reservation. COVID-19 guidelines in place.

Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park *

Pass admits two adults and their children under 18 years old.

Empire Pass *

New York State Parks
Valid for pass holder and their occupants in one personal vehicle. Day use only. Not valid for special events.

Empire State Aerosciences Museum*

Pass admits family of four. COVID-19 guidelines are in place. Advance registration not required.

Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art *

125 West Bay Road, Amherst, MA 01002
Open all year.
Pass admits two adults and four children. Advance tickets are strongly recommended. The Art Studio is open to one family or group at a time. Visitors from New York State are welcome.

FASNY Museum of Firefighting *

117 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, NY 12534
Admits family of four (two adults and two children). No institutional or organized groups. COVID-19 safety precautions are followed. All visitors must make reservations online or by phone. No more than five people per group.

Fenimore Art Museum and Farmers’ Museum *

Pass admits two adults and two children under 18 to the Fenimore Art Museum and Farmers’ Museum. Includes some special events.

Hancock Shaker Village *

Pass admits two adults and two youths (13-17 years).
Children 12 and under are free.


Hildene *

Each card admits one adult and up to two children or grandchildren 16 and under. Two cards are included. Two cards must be presented to admit two adults. Children 5 and under are free. Borrower must own and bring a Bethlehem Public Library card.


The Hyde Collection *

Art Museum and Historic House, 161 Warren Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801
Open all year. Each pass admits 2 adults and children under 18, by appointment on Hyde website. Currently no docent tours. Open M-Sun 1- 5pm, open 10 am – 2pm for seniors and high risk individuals only. Excludes special events.

Schenectady County Historical Society and Mabee Farm Historic Site *

Stephen and Harriet Myers Residence – Underground Railroad History Project *

Pass admits four people. Children 5 and under are free.
Calling in advance of coming for a tour is encouraged.

Storm King Art Center *

Each card admits one adult and children under 18 living in the same household. Two cards are included.
Two cards must be presented to admit two adults. Includes special public programs, exhibits, tours and lectures. Reservations required. COVID-19 guidelines in place.

Thomas Cole National Historic Site *

Pass admits up to four people to guided house tour and access to new studio building and Visitors Center. Children under 16 are free.

Wild Center *

Pass admits two adults and two children under age 18.
