Cinema programs

The library holds cinema series on a regular basis featuring popular films fresh from the theater. There’s mystery, drama, sci-fi adventure, comedy and more with the PG and PG-13 titles geared toward adult audiences.

Sunday Cinema

Showtimes are Sundays at 2:30 p.m. 

Sunday Cinema is a series of recently released on DVD films aimed at an adult audience. Films are chosen based on their ratings, reviews, and general appeal. Films based on novels or other written works are given special consideration.

  • Oct. 28: “The African Queen” (Paramount, PG, 105 min.) A WWI 100th Anniversary event!

Friday Cinema

Showtimes are Fridays at 2:30 p.m. 

Friday Cinema is a series of recently released on DVD films aimed at an adult audience, especially retirees, college students, and other adults who have time in the afternoon to enjoy cinema. Films are chosen based on their ratings, reviews, and appeal to this demographic.

  • Nov. 9: “Gallipoli” (1981, Paramount, PG, 111 min.) A WWI 100th Anniversary event!
  • Dec. 4: “All Quiet on the Western Front” (1930, Universal, NR, 133 min.) A WWI 100th Anniversary event!

Monday Cinema

Showtimes are Mondays at 2:30 p.m. 

A summer series of afternoon matinees. Shown with subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing when possible.
